RESEARCH:

I am currently involved in a number of projects that use both space (HST, Spitzer, Herschel) and ground-based facilities to address questions of star formation, dust emission and properties, and the stellar Initial Mass Function in external galaxies. A few are:

KINGFISH (Key Insights on Nearby Galaxies: a Far Infrared Survey with Herschel). One of the Hershel Space Telescope Open Time Key Projects (Project's Website)

HERM33ES (Herschel M33 Extended Survey). Also one of the Hershel Space Telescope Open Time Key Projects (Project's Website)

WFC3 Early Release Science. As a member of the HST WFC3 Science Oversight Committee, I am involved in two observing programs aimed at characterizing star formation in the local and medium-distance Universe. (Data Release Website)
