Webpages of a Technical Interest to the Astronomy Department
Department webpages I maintain can be found here. These are not for public
consumption...LAN access only. If you are a member of the department,
are working remotely and need access to the technical information on
these pages you can do the following from a computer with ssh:
ssh -L8888:cs:80 USERNAME@nova1.astro.umass.edu
where USERNAME is your user name on nova1. This command will forward
requests on port 8888 on your local computer to port 80 on cs, via
nova1, while you're logged in to nova1. Then in your browser, go to
http://localhost:8888/.
