A Deserted Road
(Here is one of my older poems. It is the typical rhyme scheme I use when I feel like rhyming.)
I walk alone down a deserted road
Ne'er a companion with to be,
Thoughts of the past within my head are stowed,
The two of us, my thoughts and me.
As I look back on all of my changes,
And what a long list they have been,
They have been a path throughout my ages
That's been untouched by other men.
Looking forward a haze over my eye
Is a journey leading somewhere.
I will continue on until I die
Through the haze, two eyes, an empty stare.
This has been the life of a lonely man.
A story needing to be told less
We forget all that the mind can withstand,
Or we will end like this, God Bless.
