Where are you now that you must not be with me?
(This poem is written more for me than for anyone else. It is an acceptance poem. A poem about accepting the world how it is and not how you want it to be.)
Where are you now that you must not be with me?
You who were so much of my past,
Where are you now that my heart must empty be?
Now in my heart a shadow image cast.
As I stare into the starry sky above
I see the same sky as I did
When you and I gazed when once I thought in love
With feelings for each other hid.
I must accept that you will never return
To a time when foolish dreams were made.
But your face forever in my mind will burn
An image upon my dreams laid.
With pain and agony I bid thee farewell.
Adieu to a future that I
So clearly envisioned where sprinkled love fell
From the stars I now see. Goodbye.
