Sanchayeeta Borthakur


I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Astronomy at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I am working with Prof Todd Tripp on Ly-alpha absorption systems in Quasar spectra and their relationship to galaxies and groups of galaxies. I am also working with Prof Min Yun on HI study of Hickson Compact Groups .

Before starting my graduate studies at UMass, I was an undergraduate studies at St. Stephen's, Delhi, where I majored in Physics. My undergraduate thesis was on Pulsars where I studied phonomenon like nulling, drifting and mode-changing.
