RECENT EXCITEMENT

  • I was invited to speak for ~1 hour to the press at the Jan. 2005 meeting of the American Astronomical Society in San Diego. I gave an Education Press Conference about the upcoming 'Major Standstill of the Moon' in 2006, and described what we will all see during the years 2005-2007. This event was scheduled in conjunction with my poster presentation at the meeting "Moon Teachings for the Masses at the U.Mass Sunwheel and Around the World."

  • The SUNWHEEL was featured on NPR's ALL THINGS CONSIDERED -- March 23, 2002. Click here to hear the broadcast.

  • I attended and spoke at the Rubin Symposium in January 2002, honoring my mother, Vera Rubin, and her contibutions to astronomy
