HOW TO EARN A CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Teachers can earn a Certificate of Participation for attending any of the seasonal sunrise and sunset gatherings at the U.Mass. Sunwheel.

Teachers interested in a long-term program may attend 4 seasonal sunrise events and 4 seasonal sunset events over the course of 1-2 years. This investment of 10-12 hours, along with the creation of a product which shows evidence of your learning, will enable you to earn PDP's (at the rate of 1 PDP per hour of participation).

Gatherings typically last 1 to 1 and 1/2 hours (see information below). They are held in most types of weather, but are cancelled in the event of rain. To take advantage of earning a Certificate of Participation, please make sure to --

• arrive no later than 10 minutes before the advertised beginning of the gathering in order to identify yourself and sign in
• complete and turn in an evaluation questionnaire at the conclusion of the gathering
