Associate Research Professor

Education:

PhD, University of Rochester, 2005
MA, University of Rochester, 2002
BA, Alfred University, 2000

Research Interests:

I lead a survey-focused research program aimed at understanding the observed structure of nearby star forming regions over 0.01 to 10 parsec scales.  By both characterizing structure in well-known regions and using unbiased surveys to find newly initiated star-forming events in the cold, dense depths of molecular clouds, I seek to better understand the process of converting molecular gas into stars, and whether that process creates an environment that itself affects stellar mass assembly and planet formation.
